Multidisciplinary Engineering for Industrial and Energy Projects
RIDA T.S. provides engineering and technical consultancy services for oil and gas, energy and industrial projects in Libya.
Our scope covers project definition, Front-End Engineering Design, detailed engineering, multidisciplinary design coordination, process and hydraulic studies, technical specifications, risk assessment support and engineering assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning.
Drawing on our experience as an EPC and turnkey project contractor, our engineering teams develop practical deliverables aligned with site conditions, project specifications and execution requirements.
The objective is to establish a technically coordinated basis for equipment procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and future operation.

Capabilities:
FEED & detailed engineering
From Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to detailed engineering, we transform your concepts into precise, optimized construction dossiers. Our rigorous approach ensures a seamless transition between design and execution, anticipating technical constraints to reduce costs and project timelines.
Multidiscipline design (M/E/C/I&C)
Our engineering office offers integrated multidisciplinary design covering Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Instrumentation & Control (I&C). This synergy between disciplines guarantees the global technical coherence of your projects and eliminates interface conflicts during the construction phase.
Pipeline hydraulics & process simulations
We perform hydraulic simulations and advanced process modeling to size your pipelines and optimize flow assurance. These studies predict fluid behavior under various operating conditions, helping to prevent bottlenecks and ensure the energy efficiency of your transport networks.
Gas utilization & flare reduction studies
Our specialized studies aim to valorize associated gases and reduce flaring, turning a potential loss into a usable energy resource. We propose technical solutions for gas recovery, contributing to the economic optimization of your facilities while reducing your environmental footprint.
CO₂ capture & emissions engineering
We develop engineering solutions for CO₂ capture and industrial emissions management to support your energy transition. Our technical designs integrate the latest decarbonization technologies to help you achieve sustainability goals and meet strict environmental regulations.
HAZOP, SIL & risk assessments
We conduct in-depth risk analyses, including HAZOP studies and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) determination, to secure your industrial processes. This preventive approach identifies potential hazard scenarios and defines the necessary safety barriers to protect your personnel and assets.
Technical specifications & design dossiers
We develop detailed technical specifications and comprehensive design dossiers that serve as the baseline for procurement and construction. These precise contract documents clearly define performance and quality requirements, ensuring final deliverables match your exact expectations.
Project Definition, Feasibility and FEED
Engineering support can begin during the early stages of a project, when the technical concept, operating requirements and principal execution constraints are being established.
RIDA T.S. supports the review and development of:
- Project objectives and operating requirements
- Available site and process information
- Design basis and engineering criteria
- Process configuration and equipment requirements
- Preliminary layouts and system architecture
- Technology and equipment options
- Utility and infrastructure requirements
- Interfaces with existing facilities
- Constructability and installation constraints
- Preliminary project risks
- Scope boundaries and execution strategy
Front-End Engineering Design provides the technical definition required to progress into detailed engineering, procurement or an EPC execution phase.
The FEED scope is adapted to the maturity of the project and the information available from the client, facility and existing documentation.
Detailed and Multidisciplinary Engineering
RIDA T.S. coordinates the engineering disciplines required for industrial projects, plant modifications and equipment integration.
Process Engineering
Development and review of process requirements, operating cases, equipment duties, process calculations, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams and control requirements.
Mechanical and Piping Engineering
Equipment selection, mechanical data sheets, piping configuration, line sizing, valve requirements, equipment arrangement, piping layouts, material requirements and integration with existing systems.
Civil and Structural Engineering
Engineering of foundations, equipment supports, structural steel, access platforms, trenches, containment areas and other civil works associated with industrial equipment and plant modifications.
Electrical Engineering
Definition of electrical loads, power distribution requirements, protection, cable routing, earthing, equipment connections and interfaces with existing electrical infrastructure.
Instrumentation and Control Engineering
Instrument selection, measurement requirements, control philosophy, input/output definition, control interfaces, communication architecture and integration with automation, SCADA and control systems.
Multidiscipline coordination is used to identify and resolve interfaces between equipment, piping, structures, electrical systems, instrumentation and control functions before site execution.
Process, Pipeline and Hydraulic Studies
RIDA T.S. performs engineering studies to evaluate system behaviour under defined operating conditions and support technical decision-making.
Depending on the project scope, activities may include:
- Process calculations
- Hydraulic calculations
- Pipeline sizing and pressure-drop assessment
- Flow and velocity evaluation
- Pump and equipment duty review
- Operating scenario assessment
- Process simulation
- Utility demand assessment
- Equipment capacity review
- Identification of potential operating constraints
These studies provide technical inputs for equipment selection, pipeline configuration, control philosophy and the evaluation of modifications to existing facilities.
The assumptions, boundary conditions, calculation methods and acceptance criteria are documented for review as part of the engineering deliverables.
Process Safety and Risk Assessment Support
Process safety activities are defined according to the facility, project phase and contractual scope.
RIDA T.S. can support or coordinate activities including:
- Hazard identification
- HAZOP preparation and participation
- Review of safeguards and protective functions
- Safety Integrity Level assessment support
- Review of alarms, trips and interlocks
- Identification of safety-critical interfaces
- Technical risk registers
- Follow-up of engineering recommendations
- Incorporation of approved actions into design documents
Where applicable, HAZOP activities may reference the methodology described in IEC 61882, while functional safety and Safety Integrity Level activities may reference the IEC 61511 series for the process industry.
The exact methodology, applicable standards, study leadership requirements and approval responsibilities must be defined for each project. Reference to these standards does not constitute a general statement of certification or compliance.
Technical Deliverables
Engineering deliverables are defined by the project phase, discipline and contractual scope.
Depending on the project, they may include:
- Design basis and engineering criteria
- Process flow diagrams
- Piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Process and hydraulic calculations
- Equipment and instrument data sheets
- Equipment layouts and general arrangements
