The Project

During a critical service overhaul, this project executed the tie-in activities for six flowmeters, including the design, fabrication, and installation of new spools for control valve streams. The scope expanded to include all electrical installations, instrumentation, custom fabrication of control cabinets, and full automation programming to ensure precise regulation of fuel gas supplies.

Key Project Details

  • Project Name: Supply and Installation of Fuel Gas Metering and Control Systems

  • Core Objective: To establish precise measurement and regulation of fuel gas supplies and control pressure/flow using automated control valves.

  • Scope of Work: Design and fabrication of 6 flowmeter spools, NDT validation, custom control cabinet manufacturing, workstation software programming, and operator training.

  • Technology Deployed: Krohne ultrasonic flowmeters, automated pressure/flow control valves, and specialized RIDA T.S. software workstations.

  • Operational Impact:

    • Enabled continuous, precise control over fuel gas pressure and flow distribution.

    • Delivered absolute data visibility to the refinery via custom workstation applications.

Quality compliance was verified through rigorous site inspections and comprehensive NDT reports. RIDA T.S. further delivered a full automation solution via proprietary workstation programming and concluded the project with specialized operational training to ensure a seamless system handover and comprehensive plant control.

Post-Project Impact: The refinery now benefits from a highly reliable, certified fuel gas feed system. Uncontrolled pressure spikes have been completely eliminated, and local engineers are fully trained to operate and maintain the system safely.
