The Chairman of the Board of Directors discusses joint cooperation with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, met with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt, Tarek El Molla, to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation between the two nations. This high-level discussion was a key part of Sanalla’s official visit to Cairo and aimed to strengthen the bilateral relations within the energy sector.

During the meeting, the two leaders explored the specific technical needs of the Libyan oil sector and how Egyptian petroleum companies could play a significant role in its development. The conversation focused on several key areas where Egyptian expertise could be beneficial, including critical infrastructure rehabilitation projects. These projects involve the repair and upgrading of essential oil and gas pipeline networks.

Furthermore, they discussed potential collaborations in the maintenance of existing oil reservoirs and the construction of new ones to enhance storage capacity. Other areas of cooperation included the provision of specialized technical and auxiliary services, the development of comprehensive training programs for Libyan oil sector personnel, and the joint organization of industry-specific conferences and exhibitions to foster knowledge sharing and innovation.
