RIDA T.S. – Libya (Company) consider the protection and promotion of health of both its personnel and local community a priority in its activities, this implies the recognition, evaluation and control of the factors, which may adversely affect health, and its range of application is from the design stage through to the operational phase.

The Company is committed and gives emphasis to the prevention of work related illnesses, protection of the worker’s health and promotion of his health and well-being.

Occupational health, concerned with the diagnosis, management and prevention of diseases due to, or exacerbated by, workplace factors, will be based on a proactive health risk management approach.

Health risk assessments will take place from start phase (evaluation) to the abandonment of the projects (decommissioning). Although initial health risk assessment take place in the design stage and early stage of operations, it remains an ongoing activity as the validity of observations may expire and processes may change in time.

Risk assessment, risk control and risk reduction measures will be in place.

Health surveillance, instruction and training, first aid and medical emergency treatment, health promotion initiatives as information of the personnel on occupational health policies and on general health and risks related to life style and environment will be assured by Company.

The Company believes that it is important to consider impact of business on health of surrounding host community. As high priority, the Company will ensure an early and on ongoing dialogue with the host government and other relevant stakeholders for health related issues coming from its operations and business.

A proactive health risk management approach will be assured. Health impact assessments will take place from start phase (evaluation) to the abandonment of the projects (decommissioning). Although initial health impact assessment takes place in the design stage and early stage of operations it remains an ongoing activity as the validity of observations may expire and processes may change in time.

Company is committed to guarantee personnel health protection and well-being in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, finalized to a continuous improvement process.
